Sharjah24: The Department of Public Works (SDPW) in Sharjah has completed maintenance works in some facilities of a number of government buildings in the city of Dibba Al-Hisn, most notably the Al Nashia Center, the Family Development and Economic Development Building and the Dibba Al-Hisn Society for Culture, Heritage and Theater, according to the engineer Bashayer Al Mansouri, director of the Kalba branch.
She added, the department made the appropriate modifications in each of the buildings, with the aim of preparing and maintaining the buildings to practice their activity to become ready for work, so that these projects serve the reality of work and provide a comfortable environment for employees for more giving and for building visitors. The department also carried out maintenance work for the Al Nashia Center building. The works included developing the theater room in line with the latest standards and specifications in this field, in addition to developing the electronic games room to serve the center’s employees and encourage them to take advantage of their leisure time.
Al Naqbi indicated that the high-quality environment of government buildings and facilities in the emirate is among the department's list of very important concerns, as it constitutes the appropriate work environment to provide services, so the department has attached great importance to this matter and included it within its development plans in line with the emirate's high-class position.
Al-Naqbi focused on the importance of the department’s role in supporting the principles and standards of sustainability, focusing on building maintenance as the most important aspects of sustainability, and its keenness to innovate and follow distinguished international standards to apply them to ensure the enhancement of its modern position and confirm its developmental role in the field of sustainable development.
