Sharjah24: Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) received 133 male and female students from various local universities to train them on the latest technical and administrative work systems, operate electricity production and distribution plants and water desalination.
His Excellency Abdullah Abdul Rahman Al Shamsi, Executive Director of the authority confirmed that the authority supports the training programmes for male and female students and puts all its capabilities and projects at the service of their training to contribute to providing competencies, specialized technical skills and human cadres necessary to work in the authority and in all bodies, institutions, departments and companies.
He explained that focusing on developing and training national competencies is one of the important items in achieving development and achieving the achievements that the authority seeks under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
Majed Al Mutawa, Director of Human Resources Department, explained that the authority received 133 students from higher educational institutions from various disciplines, and a 240-hour training programme was implemented, and the trainees were distributed according to specializations to the various departments of the authority.
An introductory workshop was also carried out, which included a detailed explanation of the training stages of the program and a number of administrative axes, in addition to introducing the systems, procedures and regulations of the program and the methods and approach of training in various locations.
