Sharjah24: The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) , represented by the Khorfakkan Department and the Health, Safety and Environment Department, has implemented a plan to develop a system to secure and protect individuals, facilities, and electricity production and distribution stations. The alarm, prevention and firefighting system was replaced in 9 electrical stations 33/11 kilovolts in the city of Khorfakkan in a record time that did not exceed four months and at a cost of AED2,098,000 , Testing all security and safety devices and firefighting equipment has begun at all sites and facilities affiliated to the authority in Khorfakkan, and the installation and replacement of fire alarm and firefighting devices and systems with new and advanced devices.
Engineer Ahmed Al Mulla, director of the Khorfakkan Department, explained that the department is working on implementing the strategic plan to review and develop the protection and safety system in all facilities and stations in Khorfakkan city, after carrying out an extensive study to evaluate security and safety systems. He confirmed that the authority uses the latest technologies and human expertise to secure vital facilities, stations and electricity networks.
He explained that the Khorfakkan administration, in cooperation with the Department of Security, Safety and Environment, is working to provide the best insurance and protection systems for individuals and facilities through the application of the latest technology, noting that the advanced system for insurance and protection for individuals and facilities includes designs and drawings for fire alarm and extinguishing systems.
