Sharjah24: The Central Region Department of the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) completed the installation and operation of 1,500 lamppost in 10 road and street projects during the first quarter of this year within the limits of the Central Region Department, 50 lighting boxes were installed, 68 km of cables were extended, and 3,000 energy-saving lighting units were installed, at a cost of more than 26.133 million dirhams.
Engineer Khalifa Muhammad Al Tunaiji, Director of the Central Region Department of the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, confirmed that street and road lighting projects are continuing in the central region, according to the ruler of Sharjah, according to a plan and timetable, with high specifications and quality, using energy-saving flashlights and lamps, which are commensurate with highways, main and side streets.
He pointed out that the lighting projects that were implemented within the borders of the central region included the installation of poles of different lengths ranging from 6 meters to 14 meters, according to what is appropriate for each region. He added that the implementation of street lighting projects in the central region is carried out through trained work teams and all procedures are provided. Precautionary and preventive measures to maintain their safety and health and the safety of community members by using modern equipment according to the best specifications.
