Sharjah24: In implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, The Department of Public Works (SDPW) completed a rubber walkway for exercising in Al Madam Public Park and handed it over to Al Madam Municipality.
Engineer Khalifa Al Darmaki, Director of the Central Region Branch in the Department of Public Works, stated that Madam is a city of history, civilization, authenticity and modernity, and that His Highness Ruler of Sharjah, put it in the focus of attention and follow-up, so he dedicated to its development a variety of development projects.
He explained that the works included the completion of a rubber walkway with a length of 1,100 meters and a width of 3 meters, and the accompanying tiles works around the perimeter of Al Madam Public Park, which has an area of 84,000 square meters and includes several facilities, including a volleyball court, a basketball court, and a third football field.
Al-Darmaki confirmed that the rubber walkway in the park is one of the vital projects that serves the people of the region, which was accomplished with efforts and cooperation with the competent authorities from the Municipality of Madame and the Municipal Council, and was greatly appreciated by the park’s visitors.
The Director of the Central Region Branch indicated that the project falls within the department's development plan to meet the needs of the Municipal Council in the Madame area, develop public facilities and services, improve the aesthetic and civilized scene, and keep pace with the development programs of the emirate.
