Sharjah24: Sharjah Department of Public Works (SDPW) received a delegation from the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA), to learn about the best systems and practices in managing strategy and foreseeing the future, within the framework of joint cooperation between the department and government, federal and local institutions in the country.
SDPW presented the strategic evaluation mechanism for departments that focus on evaluating the results of strategic performance, in terms of the objectives of the strategic indicators, and the accuracy and comprehensiveness of measuring these indicators, to stimulate the quality and effectiveness of performance in the department, and achieve global leadership in various fields, by reviewing the best practices, measuring indicators and reports competitiveness, to enhance the impact and outputs of government initiatives and programmes, and reviewed its experience in managing strategic performance, starting from designing indicators, passing through the stages of their adoption, and ending with the distribution of roles and responsibilities to facilitate the process of follow-up and improvement.
The meeting witnessed the exchange of expertise and experiences between representatives of SEWA, with the aim of identifying best practices and coordinating joint work between the two sides, in line with the department’s strategy of effective communication with various federal and local authorities and bodies to develop the highest levels of cooperation and joint work.
