Sharjah 24: The Khorfakkan Municipality has completed its preparations to receive the blessed Eid Al Fitr, by strengthening control and inspection campaigns on food outlets and beauty salons, as well as decorating streets and public squares.
Salem Al Dhainin, head of the Agriculture and Gardens Department in Khorfakkan Municipality, revealed the preparation of an integrated work plan for the various departments in the municipality to decorate the city, and control the movement of markets in preparation for Eid Al Fitr.
Speaking exclusively to “Sharjah 24”, Al Dhainin said that the municipality has intensified its inspection campaigns on food establishments such as restaurants, cafeterias, and groceries, in addition to beauty and barber salons, in order to ensure their compliance with health requirements and conditions.
Within the framework of the municipality’s action plan, the Khorfakkan slaughterhouse has been prepared and its capacity has been increased to be fully prepared and ready to complete slaughter requests under the full supervision of veterinarians. He added that slaughterhouse will open after Eid prayer until 12:30 pm on the first day of Eid, and from 4: 30 pm until 6 pm for the rest of the days of Eid.
He added that the Eid Musallas are ready to receive the worshipers, explaining that the Agriculture Department has finished preparing the public gardens as well, which will be open to visitors on Eid days from 8 am to 10 pm.
With regard to the preparations, Salem Al Dhainin said that the preparations of the Environmental Services Department for the blessed Eid Al Fitr will include intensifying campaigns to combat harmful pests in the city’s tourist places. These include Shis Garden, Al Rafisah Dam Rest House, Fountains Garden, Cloud Rest House, Water Canal, and the Resistance Monument.
