Sharjah24: Khorfakkan Municipal Council held its first meeting of the first session of the seventeenth annual term, On Sunday at its headquarters, based on Emiri Decree No. (34) of 2021 issued by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, regarding inviting councils municipality to convene.
The meeting was chaired by His Excellency Dr. Rashid Khamis Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Council, in the presence of His Excellency Saeed Abdullah Al Naqbi, Vice Chairman of the Council, Eng. Fawzia Rashid Al Qadi, Director of Khorfakkan Municipality, and members of the Council.
In an exclusive statements to “Sharjah 24” on the sidelines of the meeting, the Chairman of the Council praised the role of the Steering Committee during the downtime phase, noting that the meeting discussed the issues of the work plan for the upcoming phase, in order to serve the citizen and the resident efficiently. He affirmed that a number of development proposals were reviewed during the meeting.
Dr. Rashid Khamis Al Naqbi lauded the unprecedented growing in Khorfakkan in various sectors, especially in tourism projects and infrastructure, pointing out that the work is underway to develop the second phase of Khorfakkan Corniche and the Pearl Beach.
