Sharjah 24: Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work (SAVW) held its fourth Ramadan Majlis for the year 2022, entitled “The Virtues and Signs of Laylat al-Qadr” (Night of Decree) within the programmes of Ramadan Majlis organised by SAVW during the holy month. Programmes include religious lectures that embody the spirituality of the holy month, where SAVW holds Ramadan Majlis virtually via the "Microsoft Teams" application.
The lecture presented by Dr. Abdullah Mansour touched on the definition of Laylat al-Qadr, its virtues and signs, and the most beloved deeds a Muslim must do on this night.  Dr. Abdullah Mansour tackled the evidence for the existence of the Night of Decree from the Qur’an and Sunnah.  The lecture also explained the reason behind hiding the Night of Decree in order for the Muslim to strive every night of Ramadan as the Night of Decree.

Dr. Abdullah Mansour called on the participants to seek this blessed night by worshiping God Almighty through prayer and supplication.

Fatima Mousa al Balushi, the Executive Director of SAVW confirmed the importance of these Majlis as the most important channels of community awareness, as well as becoming a platform for addressing social, voluntary, humanitarian and other social issues.

Fatima Mousa al Balushi pointed that SAVW continues its programmes for the holy month, through which it aims to contribute to the consolidation of volunteer values work among the different segments of society, in line with the award’s competencies and objectives aiming at instilling and embodying voluntary giving.  Fatima Mousa al Balushi concluded that such occasions are among the best days that the Award seizes to positively impact society in various ways.
