Sharjah 24: The Conservation Department of Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) continues its efforts to implement the "Be Aware" campaign, which it launched to raise awareness of correct conservation methods.
The campaign aims to increase societal awareness, especially the residential sector, about the consumption of electricity and water. In addition to registering the names of families wishing to benefit from the initiative of the free consumption inspection and control service, in an effort to improve the quality of life and raise the level of services provided by the SEWA within its plans and strategic vision.
Engineer Ghada Juma Salem, Director of the Conservation Department, confirmed that SEWA’s strategy to implement the “Be Aware” initiative includes specific foundations and criteria to bring about a change in the concepts of energy use and achieve the best results by attracting all segments of society.
She explained that the activities implemented by the SEWA at Rahmania Mall include distributing gifts and publications and organising competitions to attract different segments of society.
The Conservation Department, in cooperation with the Sharjah Districts and Villages Affairs Department, presented a lecture on conservation by Rashid Al Marzouki, Deputy Director of the Conservation Department, as part of the activities of the Ramadan Majlis, organised by the department in which more than 70 people participated.
