Sharjah24: Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) has renewed its commitment to the Age-Friendly document, which aims to provide programmes and services that meet the needs of the elderly, in addition to spreading awareness among employees about the culture of dealing with them and the concepts of Age-friendly cities.
The Age-friendly document was signed by His Excellency Abdullah Abdul Rahman Al Shamsi, Executive Director of SEWA.
He pointed out that the authority is committed to its social responsibility towards the elderly as part of its efforts to improve services that are commensurate with their needs and that enable them to live a decent life as an integral part of the components of society.
He stressed that the authority is keen to provide the best services for the elderly and they will have priority in providing services and initiatives that suit their needs, because this is part of their rights and our duty towards them, and it will work to spread the culture of commitment to the concepts and standards of Age-friendly cities among employees.
