Sharjah24: The Central Region Department of the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) has completed the project to modify the Al Zubair Area network by replacing the overhead lines with ground cables, with a length of 102 km, to achieve the continuity of providing electricity in the area, with providing the best services to customers.
At a cost of 21.118 million dirhams, 739 farms benefited from network modifications according to the development projects plan implemented by the administration in the regions and districts of the central region.
Commenting on this, Engineer Khalifa Muhammad Al Tunaiji, Director of the Central Region Department, explained that the development work in energy and water projects in the Central Region comes in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, aiming to provide the highest level of services to all regions in the Emirate of Sharjah.
He indicated that the Authority continues to carry out maintenance and development work in the area, stressing that the projects implemented by the Authority in the field of modifying networks in the central region contributed to a reduction of faults by more than 75% in the commercial, industrial, agricultural, residential and governmental sectors in the central region.
