The lecture was organised, at Al Dhaid Fort, by Rashid Al Mahyan, Chairman of the Parents Council in the Central Region.
Sheikh Dr. Aziz bin Farhan Al Anzi explained that pure hearts are the ones that keep family ties, whereas a person, by nature, finds comfort within family and visit and love them.
Al Anzi indicated that bonding with family and relatives is one of the obligations of God Almighty, whereas God Almighty has made necessary to show affection towards them, which leads to the bonding of the family, just as Islam forbids severing these relations as it is one of the major sins.
Al Anzi spoke about aspects of the kinship and family ties warning against severing them. He added that Islamic Sharia is concerned with the rights of kinship ties whereas they are strengthening the structure of society and consolidating its pillars. Kinship and family ties are mentioned in the Holy Quran in many verses.
Al Anzi pointed out that family ties keep people in sublime position, whereas they will be granted many blessings in this world and in the hereafter.
