The Syrian artist, Asaad Fadda, expressed his happiness at meeting the distinguished of the Arab theatre, whereasas they are the hope and the future, revealing the difficulties that his generation endured working in theatre, with the lack of theatrical institute and suitable infrastructure, while things have changed now and they are fortunate to enjoy these institutions established by his peers in various Arab countries.
The Syrian artist, on Sunday morning, gave a lecture to the participants in the "10th Sharjah Forum for the distinguished of the Arab Theatre”, coinciding with the 31st session of the Sharjah Theatre Days.
Fadda urged the young generation to have their own artistic projects, saying that the artist must have a clear project or goals, indicating that it may be difficult to implement them in the beginning, but there is nothing difficult.
Fadda warned young people not to jump from theatre to television and cinema, and to take their time on stage, pointing out that Egyptian stars worked in theater and television, but they could balance both, while young people in their beginnings could not.
Fadda indicated that he received his education at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Cairo, then after graduation he continued his journey in France, and some of his peers went to London. He added that after returning to Damascus, he was surprised by the absence of theatrical infrastructure, as there was only Al-Qabbani Theatre in Damascus, in reference to the pioneer of the theater Abu Khalil al-Qabbani.
