Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Girl Guides (SGG) organised a festive event on the night of the middle of Sha’ban (Haq Al Laila) at the Bait Al Naboodah Museum in Sharjah, where it held a number of interactive and educational workshops for more than 110 of its affiliates, to mark the event, which is part of the Emirati customs and traditions.
The celebration came with the aim of consolidating the Emirati identity, preserving and understanding local traditions, and strengthening the links among SGG members through their interaction in local events, in addition to enhancing cooperation between the Sharjah Girl Guides and the relevant government agencies. The event was held in collaboration with the Sharjah Museums Authority.

In her statement on the celebration, Sheikha Al Shamsi, Director of the Sharjah Girl Guides, affirmed SGG's keenness to introduce its members to the aesthetics of Emirati heritage and the traditions inherited by generations, noting that "Haq Al Laila" is one of the elements of the cultural and heritage scene that the Emirati family mark with the advent of the blessed month of Ramadan.

At the end of the event, participants enjoyed Emirati traditional food and exchanged sweets specially made for the occasion.
