Sharjah 24: According to Khalifa Rashid bin Hammoud Al Tunaiji, a member of the Sharjah Heritage Days Organising Committee in Al Dhaid, the "Al Fareej Wedding" event, which was held as part of the Sharjah Heritage Days' 19th session in Al Dhaid, reflects the values of cohesion and interdependence between Emirati community members in the past and revives past tradition.
Al Tunaiji stated to "Sharjah 24" that the "Fareej wedding" serves as a model for historical Bedouin weddings and seeks to educate guests and the general public on the manifestations and protocols of traditional wedding ceremonies.
