Sharjah24: The Department of Municipalities, Agriculture and Livestock Affairs (DMALA) in Central Region Branch, participated in the 19th edition of Sharjah Heritage Days in Al Dhaid, which is running until March 19, under the slogan “Heritage and the Future.”
DMALA organised various activities including an educational and awareness competition on the importance of agriculture in our lives, which was integrated with heritage activities and providing other programs to attract children and their families.

The department’s work team presented a detailed explanation to the visitors of the department’s pavilion about the department’s competencies and the services it provides to the people of the area, in addition to making a tour to the corridors of the heritage village to get acquainted with costumes, traditional perfumes, traditional foods, handicrafts, decorative tools and more.

Muhammad Obaid bin Matar Al Tunaiji, Director of the Department of Municipalities Affairs, Agriculture and Livestock Resources in the Central Region, affirmed that the Sharjah Heritage Days represent a link that gathers people in one place and highlight the footsteps of the grandparents.

Al Tunaiji pointed out the importance of acquainting children with the heritage of their grandfathers, and giving them a typical and realistic picture of their way of life, which was characterized by simplicity and primitiveness through the quality of old popular foods and sweets.

The activities of the department were admired and praised by the organising committee for the events, along with the people and families who were a major part of the department's activities and expressed their happiness with these programs, which constituted an addition to all aspects of the village from the revival of heritage in all its environments.
