Sharjah 24: Somaya Khalil Al Hosani, Director of Human Resources Department at the Sharjah Social Service Department (SSSD), stressed the importance of providing employees with continuous training courses and workshops in different fields to raise their efficiency and productivity in performing their duties and improve the level of services they provide to the community.
Somaya Khalil Al Hosani confirmed SSSD keenness to follow up and update training programmes and workshops according to social evolution in pursuit of excellence and quality, so that all employees are competent, challenging and distinguished.
Al Hosani pointed to coordination and follow-up with the Department of Human Resources in Sharjah, the main partner of SSSD, in developing the skills of employees through the offered programmes, adding that all institutions in the private and government sectors are working and striving to raise the level of employees functional competence, which has become a prerequisite, especially with the many obstacles imposed by modernity. She added that employee must strive to keep pace with everything new and modern, so an extensive schedule of activities, events and programmes has been developed for all employees, in addition to the training package.
Al Hosani confirmed that the the system in the department relies on the latest administrative practices to reach the required quality standards, to develop the employee's skills and capabilities.
Director of Human Resources Department at SSSD added that training programmes include all the professionals working in the department, in an attractive healthy environment.
The training programmes were launched in 2019 for social care providers and supervisors of activities at shelters, which aim to build the capacities of social care providers and provide high-end social care in accordance with best practices.
Al Hosani stated that the number of training programmes that were implemented in the last quarter of the past year until December 2021 amounted to 97 external programmes, for 369 employees, and 87 internal programmes, and 4453 hours of attendance.
