Sharjah 24: "Aman Ya Beladi" which is prepared and presented by the Department of Media and Public Relations of the Sharjah Police General Command, and broadcast live on Sharjah Radio, every Monday morning, discussed, hosted Brigadier Ahmed Al Samm Al Naqbi, Director of Traffic and Patrols Department in Ras Al Khaimah Police, Head of the Awareness and Safety Team Traffic at the Federal Traffic Council.
Brigadier Ahmed Al Samm Al Naqbi discussed the traffic awareness campaign launched by the Ministry of Interior at the UAE level represented by the Federal Traffic Council, which came under the slogan “your commitment leads to your safety". He reviewed the traffic goals that the campaign seeks to achieve to enhance road safety and reduce deaths caused by traffic accidents.
Brigadier Ahmed Al Samm Al Naqbi also referred to the most prominent violations that the campaign focused on, which included sudden deviation, illegal violations, exceeding the speed on the road, and the consequences of its danger to other drivers and pedestrians on the sidewalks outside the road.
The Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at Ras Al Khaimah Police reviewed a number of safety procedures that must be followed by motorists during changing weather conditions, times of fog or rain.
On a separate note, Colonel. Expert Naji Al Hammadi, Deputy Head of the Forensic Laboratory Department at the Sharjah Police General Command, announced over the phone, that Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, inaugurated the new criminal laboratory building in the Mughaidir suburb, equipped with the latest technologies and devices that keep pace with developments in the field of crime control, and according to International Criminal Best Practices and Quality.
Colonel Al Hammadi also referred to the important criminal achievement that was reached during the month of February, which the success of the Forensic Laboratory in including four types of manufactured narcotic substances “spice” to the Federal Law on Combating Narcotic Substances and Psychotropic Substances list, pointing out that Sharjah Forensic Laboratory is the first criminal laboratory in the country to recognise the nature of these materials and manufacturing.
On the other hand, Captain Ahmed Sultan Al Hassani, Director of the Strategic Planning Branch in the Department of Resources and Support Services at Sharjah Police General Command, spoke over the phone about the achievement of Sharjah Police, as part of its participation in the annual Sharjah Excellence Award for the second time in a row, as the first time, it won the “Sharjah Green Award” category, organised by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with the participation of 120 governmental and private institutions in Sharjah, pointing to the keenness of Sharjah Police to participate in different local awards to highlight the unique roles it plays in various fields.
