Engineer Muhammad bin Yarouf, Director of Branches Department, explained that the department began during the last period to install a metal fence, to meet the request of the Sharjah Environment and Protected Areas Authority , in order to protect wildlife and in preparation for the release of endangered animals - the Arabian purity - into their natural environment.
He stressed that the reserve is surrounded by mountainous, trees that spread among the gravel plains, sage trees, and the biological diversity and resources it possesses that defy the harsh force of nature.
The reserve extends from Wadi Al-Hilu to the sea towards Khor Kalba overlooking the coast of the Sultanate of Oman. It is a natural area that includes Sidr trees that were planted in Wadi Al-Hilu.
