SDPW raises its readiness to deal with current weather

Engineer Ali bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi, Head of SDPW, inspected the progress of work in the department’s projects in light of the current weather condition and the continued rains, praising the efforts of the work teams in the department that worked continuously and around the clock.

The plan also included preventive campaigns to clean the openings of rainwater drainage networks in all of its projects, and to carry out preventive maintenance work to be fully prepared and ready to deal immediately with the rain accumulations in its projects.

The department had called upon the contracting and engineering consultancy companies, through text messages, to be ready in the work sites and take the necessary preparations and precautions by ensuring the equipment such as tower cranes, external platforms and volatile construction tools such as galvanised iron and wooden boards in order to avoid any damage caused by strong winds.
