Nouakchott Festival for Arab Poetry to launch in February

Sharjah24: The Mauritanian capital will witness on the 21st of February, the launch of the seventh edition of the Nouakchott Festival for Arab Poetry, which is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
The festival’s activities will continue for three days with the participation of poets from Mauritania, Senegal, Mali, Gambia and the Arab world.

Commenting on this, His Excellency Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of the Department of Culture in Sharjah has lauded this cultural event, reflecting the wise vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in promoting such initiatives that enhance the cultural movement in different Arab worlds. 

He has further lauded the variety of the activities of the Nouakchott Festival for Arab Poetry, reflecting the great cooperation between the two countries. Al Owais stressed that Sharjah's presence reflects its cultural message to the entire world.
