Sharjah24: Popular young Arab music icons, Nassif Zeytoun and Yara, headlined a youthful starry musical night at Al Majaz Amphitheatre in Sharjah on Saturday evening. In a concert that showcased the best of Arabic music, from rhythmic and romantic songs to foot-tapping numbers, the evening took the audience on a memorable journey with the Saudi-Syrian singer Zeytoun, known for his ‘golden vocals’ and Yara, the Lebanese queen of "delicate sensibilities".
The concert, held as part of the ongoing “Lets Majaz” season, witnessed a remarkable public turnout, as the two artists enjoy millions of followers across the Arab world.
Al Majaz Amphitheatre, the integrated and unique cultural and entertainment destination in Sharjah, presented the musical evening as a distinctive model of fine art nights with young artists known for their extraordinary performances.
The evening began with Yara presenting a lyrical bouquet of her finest songs such as "Thassa Fei", "Tormentors of Love" and "I Don't Know". The audience interacted freely with Yara especially during her most famous Gulf song, "Sadfa".
Yara sang with intense feeling, expressing her happiness to meet her fans in the smiling emirate of Sharjah. She said: "I am honoured to perform at Al Majaz Amphitheatre on this special evening," and added: "Thank you to the management of Al Majaz for this fantastic evening."
Zeytoun, carried the evening with his strong mountain of a voice setting the stage abuzz with songs like "You don't get stuck with me," "I have a conviction," "Every lie," Al Saree', "Tekka" and "Every Day I Love You" etc. The Saudi-Syrian singer brought the curtain down with the song "What Goodbye to You".
Zeytoun was excited to perform in Sharjah and the UAE: "A wonderful evening I have experienced with the audience of Al Majaz Amphitheatre, and I was pleased to sing in a beautiful artistic atmosphere, in front of an audience of different nationalities who are connoisseurs of art." He added, "Thank you Sharjah for this wonderful evening."
