Sharjah 24: The Home Care Department of Sharjah's Social Services Department (SSSD), in collaboration with the Sharjah Police's Department of the Punitive and Correctional Institution, revealed the implementation of about 23 training and rehabilitation programmes for the benefit of Punitive and Correctional Institution inmates.
The training sessions included an initiative called "Let's start afresh" that was launched at the pre-release facility during the month of October 2021 with the goal of empowering people and families to confront their circumstances and overcome their obstacles.
The post-release programme was created in collaboration with the inmates' families through the administration of training programmes at the Home Care and the Department of Social Education under the SSSD.
Family planning, stress management skills, the father's role in the family, the art of stress management and self-motivation, drug protection and social reintegration, and a unified family were all implemented.
These programmes benefitted 103 inmates.
