Sharjah24: The Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) will launch next Sunday, its activities of the 18th edition of the Virtual Harvest Volunteer Camp under the slogan “Volunteer for Sharjah”, which is organised by the Sharjah Volunteer Center of the Department, from 12 - 23 December.
The Volunteer Camp is launched four times annually to coincide with the winter and summer school holidays, contributing in providing a productive way to help the students from the category of children (6 to 12 years) to spend their times usefully.
The camp aims to instill a culture of volunteer work, and to promote positive values since childhood, offering a variety of volunteer programs, in cooperation with the Department of Social Education.
Hessa Al Hammadi, Director of the Family Cohesion Department, has lauded the various activities of the camp, in cooperation with ten government agencies, stressing that it focuses on promoting many values in the children’s lives. She also reviewed the details of the activities of all the participating parties.
