Dr. Ali Obaid Al Zaabi, Assistant Vice chancellor for Branches Affairs, revealed to “Sharjah 24” that work on the project is ongoing around the clock to ensure that the project is completed on time, as the entire project is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year, assuming the university will begin welcoming students by 2023.
He emphasised that His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah's vision for the city of Kalba to have an independent university comparable to Khorfakkan and Al Dhaid heralds a comprehensive revival in the education sector, scientific and academic research, and its outputs will eventually be reflected on the region's employment market, as the new university will offer qualitative and modern academic programmes, including those in Health, Nutrition, and Sports.
