Sharjah24: The Sharjah Directorate of Public Works (SDPW) participated in the activities of the 18th edition of the Harvest Volunteer Camp, under the slogan "Volunteer for Sharjah", which is organised by the Sharjah Volunteer Center of the Department of Social Services in Sharjah, being introduced four times annually, coinciding with the winter and summer school holidays, contributing in providing a productive way to help the students from the category of children (6 to 12 years) to spend their times usefully.
The camp aims to instill the culture of volunteer work in children, and to promote positive values in them, in cooperation with the Department of Social Education, aiming to raise their awareness about volunteerism that helps in promoting sustainable development and building a better future for new generations. The Sharjah Directorate of Public Works has several community initiatives targeting children and young people.
