SCC Committee visits SSSD branches in Al Dhaid, Al Bataeh

The visit came within the framework of its work for the third regular session of the tenth legislative term.

The committee was attended by Dr. Abdullah Musa Al Balushi, Member of the SCC, Chairman of the Health Affairs, Labor and Social Affairs Committee, along with other members of the Council.

The delegation was received by Abdullah Salem bin Huwaiden, Director of the SSSD in the Central Region.

The committee reviewed the system of services provided in each of the SSSD’s branches to the elderly, the bedridden, and to the citizens generally under the wise guidance of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

Bin Huwaiden briefed the delegation on the various services they provide such as psychological, medical, and therapeutic care services, monthly allowances, social support, coordinating social benefits with other agencies, in addition to social care and protection services.

At the end of the tour, the committee was awarded the SSSD’s Shield, appreciating the delegation’s time visit.

Dr. Abdullah Musa Al Balushi affirmed the committee’s keenness to visit the two branches of the SSSD, as part of an inspection tour of all branches of the Department regarding the services they provide to the citizens.
