Sharjah 24: Coinciding with International Mountain Day, the Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH) organised, on Saturday, a dialogue session in Wadi Al Helo that included a heritage art exhibition documenting the history of the area and showcasing of its mountainous environment.
This came in the presence of Sheikh Saeed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Sharjah Ruler’s Office in Khorfakkan, Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Sharjah Ruler’s Office in Kalba, Khamis Al Mazrouei, Governor of Wadi Al Helo, and a crowd of people.
Dr. Saeed Al Haddad, Director of the Kalba Branch at Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH), told "Sharjah 24" that the event was held on the occasion of the International Day of Mountains, adding that it included a dialogue session with the participation of Salem Khamis Al Mazrouei, Ahmed Saeed Al Mazrouei, Asma Abdullah Al Mazrouei, and Asma Rashid Al Zaabi.
He explained that the dialogue session shed light on the historical and environmental heritage of the area's mountains, reviewing the differences between its past and present.
