Sharjah24: Dr. Jassim Al Hammadi, Secretary General of (SAVW) participated in the first volunteer forum, organised by the Sharjah Social Services Department, under the slogan "Making Impact" in conjunction with the International Volunteer Day, which falls on the fifth of December, the forum dealt with the impact of volunteering on building societies by reviewing the voluntary experiences of government agencies.
SAVW reviewed a paper entitled: (The Impact of Volunteer Work on Building Communities) presented by Dr. Jassim Al Hammadi, Secretary General of the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work, he discussed the importance of voluntary work in building societies, reviewing the institutional, societal and individual aspects; He also touched upon the most prominent obstacles and challenges that hinder the efficacy of volunteer work in achieving the desired goals.
Jassim Al Hammadi said, in his presentation that voluntary work is an essential pillar in building society and spreading social cohesion among citizens of any society, and voluntary work is a humanitarian practice that is closely related to all meanings of goodness and good work in all human societies, but it differs in its size, shape, trends and motives from one society to another.
