Sharjah 24: To celebrate the UAE's Golden Jubilee of the United Arab Emirates, Sharjah Finance Department organised an open day, which included many artistic and heritage segments that reflected the Emirati heritage over half a century.
His Excellency Walid Al Sayegh, Director General of Sharjah Finance Department, stressed that the fiftieth National Day is of special importance whereas it comes under exceptional global circumstances that the United Arab Emirates has proven highly efficient in managing, which proves the leaders ability to foresee the future and protect the foundations of the UAE.
Al Sayegh pointed that the name of the United Arab Emirates has become associated with development and precedence at different levels, adding that the spirit of the union will continue to inspire citizens and residents to continue the path of leadership and excellence during the next fifty years.
Rima Al Shamsi, Director of Government Communications Department at Sharjah Finance Department, confirmed that this year National Day celebrations this year are of great importance whereas they coincide with the golden jubilee of the Union, celebrating a fifty-year march of development that positively reflected on all aspects of life in the United Arab Emirates.
Al Shamsi pointed out that the UAE, within half a century, has become one of the best countries in the world, the most secure, the most generous and the most prosperous, providing citizens and residents with all the necessities for a decent life, while at the same time continuing its steps with confidence in promoting sustainable development in all fields.
The open day included a section for handicraft products that ancestors practiced and mastered as part of their national identity, as well as a display of traditional clothing representing different parts of the UAE, a photo exhibition to compare the past to the present, in addition to national songs and popular food.
Sharjah Finance Department employees enjoyed such events, which strengthened the patriotic spirit in their souls, and reflected the richness of the Emirati folklore, through which they expressed pride in their national heritage.
