The FDA represented by Khawla Al Haj, Chairperson of the FDA, and several board members and volunteers, participated intending to support diabetes patients, promoting health awareness of the disease and ways to prevent it. Several awareness lectures were given in addition to a video projected on Burj Khalifa.
Al Haj confirmed that the FDA is keen to be a partner in initiatives that support people with diabetes, enhance the community members’ awareness of the disease, its causes, symptoms, and ways of prevention, and improve the lifestyle of the people with diabetes, translating the directives and visions of Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, President of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah.
