Sharjah24: The Arthritis Patients Friends Association (APFA), in the Health Education Department of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, organised "Walking Hour" event on Saturday, in Kashisha Park in Al Rahmaniyah District, in participation of community members, senior citizens, school and university students.
The event included providing medical examinations and health consultations, along with several health activities to provide recommendation and consultants in order to acquaint them with ways to prevent joint diseases. The event also included the distribution of health awareness brochures, in addition to organising many other sports and recreational activities.
Building on this, Waheeda Abdel Aziz, Chairman of the Arthritis Patients Friends Society, confirmed that the organising of this event came within the framework of the society's endeavor to encourage walking and turn it into an integral part of the social culture and healthy lifestyle in the Emirate of Sharjah, in addition to drawing the attention to the arthritis patients.
