Sharjah 24: Sharjah Municipal Council (SMC) and Sharjah Municipality (SM) commemorated Flag Day with the raising of the UAE flag amid feelings of pride and patriotism in the front yard of the municipality building in Al Musalla area, in the presence of Salem Ali Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Sharjah Municipal Council, council members, assistants of the Director-General of Sharjah Municipality, and a group of employees.
Salem Ali Al Muhairi said that this event reaffirms people's devotion and belonging to the UAE's wise leadership and symbolizes the concepts of unity and belonging.
Al Muhairi noted that this year's event is unique in that it coincides with the country's 50th National Day and Golden Jubilee preparations. Over the last 50 years, the UAE has risen through the ranks and established itself as a role model for other states in the world.
