Sharjah 24: As part of the country's "Flag Day" celebrations, the Department of Municipalities, Agriculture and Livestock (DMAAL) in Sharjah organised a commemoration on Wednesday, the 3rd of November, for His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan's assumption as President of the UAE, and as an expression of love for the homeland, and gratitude to the country's founders.
Dr Eng. Khalifa bin Musabeh Al Tunaiji, Chairman of the Department, hoisted the flag in the front yard of the department building with the accompaniment of the country ‘s anthem.
He stated that Flag Day is a national celebration that reflects the spirit of unity and harmony among the great Emirati family and strengthens the sense of belonging to the country.
He congratulated His Highness, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, and his brother, His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and their brothers of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates, on behalf of himself and all of the employees.
