Sharjah24: The Department of Municipalities Affairs, Agriculture and Livestock (DMAAL) in Sharjah signed a memorandum of understanding with the General Directorate of Civil Defense (GDCD), regarding the regulation of procedures and controls for installing smoke detection systems in residential homes and the mechanism for their implementation.
Commenting on this, Colonel Sami Khamis Al Naqbi, Director General of Civil Defense in Sharjah has expressed pleasure with signing the memorandum of understanding between The Department of Municipalities Affairs, Agriculture and Livestock (DMAAL) in Sharjah and the General Directorate of Civil Defense (GDCD), in accordance with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
Colonel Sami Khamis Al Naqbi added that the signing of the agreement comes in line with the strategic objectives of the Ministry of Interior, which emphasise the preservation of lives and property, pointing out the importance of implementing this system to provide protection for all segments of society in accordance with the plan that he developed in cooperation with all relevant institutions in the Emirate of Sharjah.
