Al Teneiji: DMAAL signs MoU with GDCD to protect residences

Sharjah 24: His Excellency Dr. Eng. Khalifa bin Musabeh Al Teneiji, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities Affairs, Agriculture, and Livestock (DMAAL), stated during the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the General Directorate of Civil Defence (GDCD) in Sharjah, that the memorandum is the culmination of the efforts made by government entities in the Emirate of Sharjah in accordance with the Federal Government's decisions and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to provide security and safety factors in housing.
The MoU, according to Al Tuneiji focuses on the issues of awareness and early warning signs with regard to saving lives and reducing property damages in the event of a fire.

The MoU aims to implement preventive awareness programmes, such as field visits to residential works in coordination with municipalities and concerned authorities, and electronic connection between the two parties' systems and the Emirate's municipalities with the goal of exchanging data and information related to residential properties in order to simplify the process and improve data accuracy.
