Sharjah24: Arabic Language Academy In Sharjah (ALA) announced the launch of two discussion sessions to be organised at the upcoming Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF), where it will host a group of thinkers, speakers and specialists in Arabic language sciences, with the aim of introducing the historical dictionary of the Arabic language .
The first session will be held under the title “The Historical Dictionary, the Process, Procedures and Results”, on Wednesday, November 3, , where Dr. Saleh Belaid, President of the Supreme Council of the Arabic Language in Algeria, and Dr. Khalil Al-Nahwi, President of the Language Council will speak and will be moderated by Dr. Mohamed Safi Al Mosteghanemi, Secretary General of the Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah and Executive Director of the Historical Dictionary.

The session sheds light on the efforts of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in protecting and empowering the Arabic language by launching initiatives to enhance its presence as an international language.

The second session will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021, and will be held under the title: "The characteristics of the historical lexicon and its advantages." moderated by Dr. Mustafa Rabeh bin Ashour, member of the Executive Committee of the Historical Dictionary in Sharjah. The session deals with a comparison between the historical dictionary and other dictionaries.

ALA presents to the guests of its pavilion at the exhibition, versions of the new issue of the quarterly magazine "Al Arabiya Lisani", which sheds light on many issues of interest to the Arabic language and those who work in it, in addition to displaying a series of visual videos that introduce the work of the complex and its cooperation with Arab academies and teaching institutes.
