Engineer Ahmed Al Mulla added that the project is considered as one of the most necessary and strategic projects, whereas it is a major source of water supply to the Rafisah Dam Resthouse, in addition to the current and future projects along Khorfakkan Road in the city of Shees, such as the Ghazir Resthouse, Shees Resthouse, Shees Market, and others.
Al Mulla stressed that the project consists of a 24 km and 300m diameter-carbon steel pipeline; in addition, 3 water-pumping stations were established.
He added that the project included the implementation of an underground tank after the Al Multaqa Tunnel that would accommodate approximately 337,000 gallons, and an upper tank in Shees that would accommodate 221,000 gallons, and the amount of water stored during the project were estimated at approximately 1,350,000 gallons.
