Sharjah 24: Sharjah Police (SP) launched a community awareness campaign, with the slogan be 'Be Cautious', aiming to educate the public on theft crimes. The campaign will last for a month, and sheds light on the methods of the perpetrators of theft crimes, how to deal with them, and report them.
Colonel Omar Sultan Abu Al Zoud, Director of the Criminal Investigation Department at SP, stated that the campaign comes in three languages: Arabic, English, and Urdu.

The Comprehensive Police Stations Department, the Community Police Department, and the Media and Public Relations Department participate in it, in cooperation with the main partners of SP, the Roads and Transport Authority, and guidance centres in the Emirate to inform members of the public about the dangers of these crimes.

He revealed that the police efforts resulted in the arrest of many individuals, and legal action was taken against them.

The Director of the Criminal Investigation Department urged the need to pay attention and be aware with regard to such crimes, and not to be led by the deceptions, which make it easier for these individuals to deceive their victims, and end up seizing their money.
