Sharjah24: The Sharjah Documentation and Archives Authority (SDAA) has approved the private document management system for the Department of Culture (DC) in Sharjah. The approval was signed by His Excellency Abdullah Muhammad Al Owais, Head of the Department, and His Excellency Salah Salem Al Mahmoud, Director General of the Authority. Under this accreditation, the system will be applied in all departments of the Department of Culture.
This initiative comes in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member, and Ruler of Sharjah, and the continuous follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, to preserve government documents and turn to a digital  preservation system in order to ensure its preservation.

Al Owais stressed that this accreditation highlights the great keenness to enhance government cooperation in serving and developing work in the Emirate of Sharjah by setting specific mechanisms to preserve, organise and manage its government documents.

In turn, Salah Al-Mahmoud emphasised that Sharjah Culture’s documents reflect the bright immortal cultural journey of His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah which highly needs to be preserved according to the best preservation standards.
