The programme was hosted by Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed bin Haider Al Marashdah, a researcher and specialist in the field of national cyber security at the Sharjah Police, and Hamad Ahmed Al Khamiri, governance analyst at the Sharjah e-Government Department, and the episode was presented by Captain Ahmed Al Hammadi and First Lieutenant Manea Al Naqbi.
Lieutenant Colonel Bin Haider defined the concept and importance of cyber security in maintaining information security and protecting electronic systems, networks, and data from external attacks.
Lieutenant Colonel Bin Haider introduced the safe usage that contributes to enhancing digital awareness at the individual and institutional levels, stressing that the United Arab Emirates is one of the highly developed countries in this field, and has immediate and future plans and strategies set to face challenges and keep pace with the rapid technological development, and 0cyber threats, to promote a secure digital environment.
Hamad Ahmed Al Khamiri stressed the UAE is keen to build the professionals’ capacity at a global level in the field of cyber security, pointing out that a team specialised in cyber security has been formed in Sharjah, working to achieve the visions and goals of the UAE aiming at achieving a quality digital life for the UAE society.
Aman ya Beladi also discussed with many important topics, including the threats that can result from the unsafe use of social networks, or browsing websites; the programme also discussed how to promote the safe use of digital technology, and to learn about the laws and amendments established by the UAE, and other topics that provide safe digital security knowledge to the community.
