Al Mohandes, Dalia Mubarak to open new season of concerts at KA

Sharjah24: On a magical night that combines the sweetness of sound and the magic of the place, the Khorfakkan Amphitheatre (KA), the spectacular new Roman colosseum style cultural destination on Sharjah’s East Coast, is all set to host singing sensations, Majid Al-Mohandes and Dalia Mubarak, on Friday, October 29, as they usher in the new “Hala Khorfakkan” season of concerts and cultural evenings.
The brilliant duo of Arabic music will present a bouquet of their most popular songs that have earned them much love and admiration among music lovers across the Gulf and the Arab world.

The "Hala Khorfakkan" season will further bolster the cultural and artistic profile of the Emirate of Sharjah by hosting a galaxy of top Gulf and Arab artists and musical icons and celebrating their popular music and numbers with music lovers in Sharjah and the United Arab Emirates.

Majed Al Mohandes, who has distinguished himself in the lyrical medium by the sweetness of his voice and eloquent expression of his feelings, will treat the audience to a selection of his most popular songs such as “Tanaadeek”, “Hatan”, and “You Love My Spirit”.

The Iraqi-Saudi singer began his artistic career in the early nineties influenced by great Arab singers such as Saadoun Jaber and Nazim Al-Ghazali. He enjoys a large fan base across the Gulf countries and throughout the Arab world.

The young Saudi artist, Dalia Mubarak, is known for her mellifluous, sweet voice. She will be joining Majed Al Mohandes, with many of her most popular numbers, many of them receiving millions of views on YouTube, such as "Who Walks Normal", "Can", and "That is possible" etc.

Dalia Mubarak, burst on the regional musical scene with in 2014 with the song "I Turned the Table", which achieved impressive success and received great acclaim from the Gulf and Arab audiences, putting the artist on the regional cultural map. She has participated in several works of art, including the operetta "Sanad Al-Khair".

The Sharjah Government Media Bureau, the organisers, have stressed that strict preventive health measures are being put in place against the Covid-19.  In addition to ensuring safe seating observing social distancing and sanitation, a negative report on the Al Hosn mobile app is necessary as part of the green traffic system in order to maintain the public safety.

The Khorfakkan Amphitheatre hosted musical Emirati and Egyptian musical icons Hussein Al Jasmi and Angham as part of its New Year's Eve concert, regaling the audience with the best of Arabian melody and rhythm.

The Khorfakkan Amphitheatre, an architectural wonder built in December 2020 and a gateway to art, culture, creativity, music and theatre arts, aims to provide an integrated experience, featuring a wide range of artistic and cultural events and activities, film shows, concerts and theatrical performances.

The Khorfakkan Amphitheatre seeks to be a global destination for classical and contemporary arts, and to cater to all members of society. The Amphitheatre is built on an area of 80,000 square feet, and can accommodate 3,600 spectators. Combining the best of Roman architectural design and Islamic civilizational heritage, the Amphitheatre is an exceptional landmark and icon, overlooking the Khorfakkan beach from its location in the heart of the Said Mountains. Next to the Cave Waterfall, it has emerged as an attraction and destination for both residents and tourists.
