Sharjah24: The Eastern Region Police Department organised, on Monday at Khorfakkan Amphitheatre, a ceremony honoring the volunteers participating in the "Let's Be Safe" initiative to enhance precautionary measures for the "Covid-19" pandemic.
Colonel Dr. Ali Al Kai Al Hamoudi, Director of the Eastern Region Police Department, said that the ceremony included honouring 264 volunteers in the initiative from several voluntary bodies.
He explained, in statements to “Sharjah 24”, that among the honorable bodies that participated in the initiative, 3 voluntary bodies are the Sharjah Volunteer Center, the Emirates Swords Team, and the Future Generations Team.
Al Hamoudi pointed out that the teams participated in about 700 volunteer hours within the activities of the initiative, which aimed to spread awareness about the precautionary measures to prevent the virus from various cities in the eastern region.
