Sharjah24: Sharjah Museums Authority, SMA, has opened registration for its annual "Sharjah Museums Ambassadors" programme, during the period from October 3 to November 30, 2021, which will start on December 19 and will continue until December 23, targeting the age group of 15-17 years.
The program will run from December 19 - 23, 2021, in the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization, the Sharjah Art Museum and the Sharjah Archeology Museum, from 09:00 AM until 01:00 PM, with a capacity of not more than 10 people.
"Sharjah Museums Ambassadors" is organised in-person, aiming to raise the awareness of individuals and refining their skills in communication and dialogue with museum visitors, and enabling them to educate the various segments of society about the collections.
The applicants should be native Arabic speakers with good English and communication skills, being able to work within a teamwork, and having commitment of time with the ability to take responsibility under any pressure. Applicants should also show a negative PCR test result during a maximum period of 48 hours before the event through the Al Hosn program, taking into account all preventive measures.
Participation requires filling out a registration form and a permission form for photography, attaching a CV, a copy of the ID or passport, as well as a personal photo, and sending all the documents through the website http://www.sharjah museums.ae.
"Sharjah Museums Ambassadors" is one of the most prominent programmes that address the museum guidance profession, contributing in transforming participants into ambassadors of the United Arab Emirates, through training them to develop their speaking skills and communication with others, by a series of presentations, scientific and practical activities.
