Sharjah 24: Under the patronage of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, the Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) organised the 10th Age Forum on Thursday, at Al Suhub Rest Area in Khorfakkan.
This comes as part of its strategic plan and in accordance with Sharjah's directives to support and enhance services to senior citizens, as well as to provide them with comfort and well-being.
Afaf Ibrahim Al Marri, Chairperson of SSSD, Dr. Rashid Khamis Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Khorfakkan City Council, Sultan Yaqoub Al Mansouri, Director of the Khorfakkan Emiri Diwan, Colonel Ali Al Kai Al Hamoudi, Director of the Eastern Region Police Department, and a large crowd of officials and government employees were present.
In a statement to “Sharjah 24”, Ahmed Al Meel, Director of SSSD, maintained that the forum's mission is to improve services and care provided to senior citizens, and attendees discussed a range of leading global practices and experiences in integrating and enabling senior citizens to participate in the digital society.
