Sharjah24: The activities of the Age Forum in its tenth session, which is organised by Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD), under the slogan "Digital Society for the Elderly", will be launched next Thursday morning, in Al Suhub Rest in Khorfakkan for the participants from the specialists, and virtually for the public, where the department discusses the research and work papers that will be presented in the forum and addresses 9 topics.
This session witnessed the participation of many researchers, experts and academics from different countries, who submitted research papers that revolve around the forum’s logo and were judged by the scientific team at SSSD and University of Sharjah.
The Age Forum coincides with the International Day for Older Persons - corresponding to the first of October of each year, and this year aims to share local and international experiences and expertise in the field of digital services for the elderly during the pandemic as a model for optimal employment.
In her statement on the occasion of the forum, Maha Mansour Al Ali, Director of the Government Communications Department, emphasised the Sharjah government's interest in the elderly, which is evident in the many efforts to support them and the constant pursuit of meeting their needs and providing a decent life.
