Sharjah 24: As generous support received by one of the families affiliated with Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation (SSEF), an anonymous philanthropist offered her house, free of rent, to a widow with six orphans.
The philanthropist stated that she intended to share a part of her house for charity, so she decided, after moving to a new house, to give her old house to Mrs Umm Ahmed, so that she could have a proper home for her and her orphaned children without paying for it.
Um Ahmed, the widow, was full of joy and happiness. It seemed like a dream to her for she had been suffering from her “tiny” old house for several years until she moved to her new rent-free accommodation where it is more spacious and has several rooms. She encountered some issues in furnishing her new accommodation, so she asked the SSEF to aid her in the matter, and they did.
Nawal Al Hamidi, Director of the Social Welfare Department at the SSEF, stated that the contribution of community members to taking care of families' needs has a significant impact on improving families' lives.
