Sharjah 24: Colonel Ahmed Jassim Al Zaabi, Director of the Central Region Police Department at Sharjah Police (SP), presented the lecture "Sharjah Police between Yesterday and Today", held at Al Dhaid Cultural and Sports Club, with the presence of top officials.
During the lecture, Colonel Al Zaabi reviewed a number of topics, including the establishment of SP in 1976, under the name of the Police Force and Public Security.
The lecture also touched on the decree of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, with regard to merging the police into the Ministry of Interior in 1975, and highlighted a number of developments and achievements that SP witnessed during the past years, through which it was able to form the security front of the Emirate.
He added that the great support given by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah to the police sector had a great impact in enhancing the security and safety process and advancing sustainable development.
Colonel Ahmed also reviewed the digital development witnessed by the police services recently, and the unlimited support for various issues related to the family and children.
At the end of the lecture, Colonel Ahmed Jassim Al Zaabi, Director of the Central Region Police Department at SP, expressed his thanks and appreciation to Al Dhaid Cultural and Sports Club for organising the event and the role it plays in strengthening ties between partners.
