Sharjah24: The General Command of Sharjah Police, represented by the Comprehensive Police Stations Department, in cooperation with the Blood Transfusion and Research Center in Sharjah, organised the "Volunteering in Blood" initiative, which targeted all members of the SP from various departments.
The initiative was held in the presence of Brigadier Ibrahim Musabah Al-Ajel, Deputy Director General of Police Operations in Sharjah Police, and Colonel Yousef Obaid Harmoul, Director of the Comprehensive Police Stations Department at Sharjah Police, and Lt. Colonel Majed Sultan Al-Asam, Director of the Anti-Narcotics Department, along with a large number of heads of departments in the SP, and officers and non-commissioned officers of both men and women.
The initiative comes within the framework of promoting social responsibility and a culture of charitable work by spreading awareness among the SP’s members of the importance of donating blood, as it is a humanitarian and societal duty aimed at saving the lives of patients and those in need of blood transfusions.
Commenting on this, Colonel Yousef Obaid Harmoul stressed the keenness of Sharjah Police to intensify its community presence through initiatives and campaigns that embody the meanings of human and social values, emphasizing the importance of these initiatives in strengthening the social responsibility of police personnel towards society and spreading awareness of the importance of such initiatives for the patients.
